The Ciara Jennings 'Introduction to Fashion Fabrics Workshop' is based in London and deep dives into the whole fashion textile supply chain - its role, how to navigate, source, manage and maximise efficiencies.  This 6-hour workshop is specifically aimed at fashion professionals, fashion start-ups and graduates who want to deepen their fabric knowledge in order to add value to their brand and business.  The content draws on Ciara's 19-year textile industry experience and her BA Hons in Textile Design.

2. How and where to source fabrics

3. Fabric meetings - how to run and questions to ask

4. Step by step guide to developing your own fashion fabrics from scratch

5. Is your fabric fit for purpose?

6. Critical path management- how to build in fabrics

7. Fashion fabric production- how your fabric is made

8. Fashion fabric testing

9. Problem-solving and negotiation/Commercial tolerances and industry practise

10. Fashion fabric sustainability

 

It’s a comprehensive guide into the world of textiles for fashion, designed to give you the tools to be able to confidently source the right fabrics, develop your range, negotiate contracts and solve fashion fabric-related problems.
